Extra Post

what the bunnies need at a daily basis

For my January post, I lately been doing hay. I out hay on top of the bunnies litter box because it is important for them to be well feed. Just like picture says 80% of an adult rabbits diet should be hay and everyday just give 10% veggies and 5% give them treats like carrots. When I give them hay they get so happy because that what they like to eat. I have observed when I give other bunnies first, I have seen when the other bunnies try to get near that box of hay.
Most of my time I spend time clean their cage because it is important so they wont get any diseases.

Blog 13: Lesson 2 Reflection

Content:

1. Positive Statement

What are you most proud of in your Lesson 2 Presentation and why?

I am most proud of is that I made time but also that I knew one of my answer to my EQ that I work hard on. Also I liked my EQ poster.
2. Questions to Consider
       a.     What assessment would you give yourself on your Lesson 2 Presentation (self-assessment)?

       I would give myself a P.

       b.     Explain why you deserve that grade using evidence from the Lesson 2 component contract.
I used alot my reasech work. I did the p's requirements, I did 10 mins of my answer with supporting details and also I did 10 mins for my activity, also with my activity, it showed my classmates understood my lesson and they did learn on my lesson.

3. What worked for you in your Lesson 2?
My hook activity went well, it got the class interesting,  also my lesson answer worked out good, I got to talked about my experience at my mentorship how how it backed out my answer to my EQ.

4.  (What didn't work) If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your Lesson 2?
My activity went good but I should of mention to class to take notes because my activity was for them to do a poster on what they learn, I would also tell them to be prepare on time to present and to clean after them selves.
5. Finding Value
What do you think your answer #2 is going to be?
I have an idea on what my answer would be, it would be adoption manager, or if not it would be the progress on how the animal recover. It can be how different shelter are considering to become a No-kill shelter.

Senior Project, The Holiday

Content:

1.  It is important to consistently work on your senior project, whether it is break or we are in school.  What did you over the break with your senior project?
  • Over my winter break, I didn't get to really help as much as I wanted to because the Bunny Bunch was closed during the Holidays, and they were also closed on New Years Eve and took some days off.

2.  What was the most important thing you learned from what you did and why?  What was the source of what you learned?
  • Since the Bunny Bunch was closed during the Holidays, I went to there Facebook  page, where it gave me information on what was going on, like how many bunnies where adopted and how many were recused. Also I found another Facebook page on animal shelters for No kill shelters.
3.  If you were going to do a 10 question interview on questions related to answers of your EQ, who would you talk to and why?
  • If, I where to do 10 questions interview on questions related to answers of my EQ, I would talk to Caroline because she is the founder of Bunny Bunch, and I believe she can helped me out because she has lots of experiences, or maybe someone else like in the animal shelter that relates to dogs and cats. I also was thinking to interview someone from the Upland Animal shelter or even at the Inland humane society.

My work day

For my independent component I am doing extra mentorship and here is what I did today. I usually clean all the rabbits cages. I change the dirty water to fresh water. I put extra hay on their litter box so they can munch on that.

Also in the picture above  you can see the burrow when the bunnies usually spend their day. From what I have observed is that they jump, they usually sleep or try to have fun while playing with they roommate, what they need is a home and a bigger cage to feel free and loved, to played.

This picture  was me trying to clean the bunny cage but he this bunny thought I was playing with him. When I clean other rabbits cage, some will let me clean but some don't like it, so I sometimes see how they behave and how they changed there reaction. Some bunnies would attack the broom or some would play or some would try to eat the broom.
